Then it's photoshoot time!! We'll vibe to your favorite music and I'll walk you through poses that both highlight your personality and your brand.
Your photoshoot will take about 4-8 hours in total - depending on the session you choose). Lunch will be provided for the Queen Bee Sessions.

What types of customers do you work with?I typically work with artists (musicians and illustrators), creative entrepreneurs (designers and crafts people) and influencers. Before I started specializing in brand photography, I did lots of different types of portraiture including graduates, families, couples and headshots. I now work with a lot of entrepreneurs for brand defining portrait sessions; artists for professional headshots and media content, and small businesses for brand and product photography.
-
Can you photograph a birthday party, wedding/ other event, or do you offer family portraits? At this time my focus is on brand photography for artists, influencers, personal brands and small businesses; so events and family portraiture are not part of the plan right now. I provide lifestyle images, headshots, and detail/stock photos for revamping or rebranding. My services are tailored to individuals but occasionally we'll include a small group of staff to help tell the story of the brand. I do not offer event photography. I *do* however, offer engagement, bridal, and family portrait sessions on my sister site if that’s something that interests you. Also my circle of photographer friends is amazing and I may be able to refer you to someone else if you reach out to me here.
-
What type of education and training do you have for photography?I am mostly self-taught! I took a film photography class in high school that really helped me learn the art of photography with skills like exposure, composition, and natural lighting. My first job at age 15 was as a photographer at a photo studio in the mall. There I learned posing tips and artificial lighting techniques A few years out of high school, I got my first DSLR (a Nikon D5000). I was excited to get out of the darkroom and into Lightroom and Photoshop. In college I studied fashion photography and fashion marketing. I joined groups/forums, read everything I could get my hands on and watched as many YouTube tutorials as I could find. Then I played, and practiced until I started getting the results I liked in my photographs. And that’s it! I just learned by reading, watching tutorials and doing... and making a lot of mistakes along the way.

How do I know when I'm ready for a brand photography session?Great question! Check out this post on my blog.

Why do you only do a limited number of shoots per month?Plain and simple? I'm picky! And I want YOU to be picky, you deserve it babe! I work with people who I know will be transformed by the tailored services I offer. I am dedicated to give you all the tools you need to be confident af on and off camera so you can level up your personal brand, start working with your dream clients and seize those life changing opportunities that will make you more money! There are many different styles and types of photographers out there for you to choose from. I believe we chose each other because we're a good match! Limiting my sessions per month allows me to spend quality time on all the fine details: communicating with you while planning your shoot; on location; and even after the session (giving you tips and tools to use your dope new photos). I put my whole heart into everything I do. Custom brand photography is an investment and not something that should be rushed. My timeline allows me to devote all the time that's needed to help you define your personal brand, tell your unique story, plan & execute your session, and enhance your amazing new pics.

I’m nervous about dealing with the digital files. Will you tell me how to post them and where to go to get prints made?No worries. After you receive your final pics, I provide very clear and helpful tips on how to use your dope new photos. Prints can easily be ordered directly from your custom online digital photo gallery!
-
Will I receive a commercial print release?I default to a standard photography image release unless asked, in which case we can discuss the terms of commercial use for the images. Most of my clients do not need a commercial print release to use their photos for all their needs. This includes use for an unlimited amount of time on their website, socials, marketing materials, in print, and on display.
-
Do I really need to fill out the Questionnaire?Absolutely! It helps me get to know you and your brand so we can become besties! The more details you provide for each question, the better I can plan and ‘style’ your session and tailor it to fit you! Please take a few extra minutes to dive deep and fill out all the questions on your questionnaire. I promise, it will be worth it!!

What time of day will we be doing our session?Great question! An indoor session is done during the morning, typically around 10am. This is the time of day when the sun filters through your windows at home lighting up your rooms to make the perfect conditions for pictures. Outdoor sessions will most likely be done closer to 4pm depending on the location we choose and the look you are going for. I usually like to shoot during "Golden Hour" (about an hour and a half before sunset) for a daytime feel and "Blue Hour" (right as the sun is setting or just after) for a night time look. This is the best time of day for lighting and will produce the best images. Mini sessions can be held indoors or outdoors depending on the theme and pre-selected location. They have a limited amount of booking times available per day to be sure each session is able to highlight the theme and location.
-
Do you offer flyers, business cards, or other marketing materials?Yes! I do create business cards, flyers, and other marketing materials for session clients. These are custom designs that are unique to you and your brand.
-
I remember you taking a specific image or pose at our session, why don’t I see it in the gallery?I will only show you the best images. This means that an image or pose you remember being taken could have been blurry from movement, or someone’s eye was closed, etc. I only want you to see yourself in the best light so that’s what I’ll show you!
-
What is a model release and why do I sign that?Along with a contract outlining much of the information you see on my site here, I offer a model release to be signed with it. It states that I own the copyright to the images and have your permission to post them online for marketing purposes. (my website, blog, social media, etc.). You may opt out of signing a model release as long as you are comfortable with not seeing any of your images online, including receiving web/watermarked files to match your full resolution digital files for your online use.
-
Where will we hold the session? What are some good locations? We will hold the session wherever we want! But it’s very important that we work together to determine the best location to tell the story of your brand. I have several go-to locations (natural, urban, indoors, outdoors) around the city that I love and I’m always open to new ideas as well. Once your session is booked, we'll have a creative strategy discussion where you can tell me about the kind of look and feel you want in your images. You can also let me know which images speak most to you on my website or socials to help determine the best locations for your session. Many times my clients will use their home, a cozy Air BnB, or chic Peer Space for a creative lifestyle location. My mobile studio is also available if you would like a solid backdrop as another set.
-
What should I wear to the session? How can I pick the right props?Once your Session is booked, I'll provide plenty of information on how to prepare props, and what to wear to make you feel amazing and connect with your audience. For now you can check out this link to my Pinterest Board: What to Wear to Your Brand Photoshoot. We'll go over your wardrobe and prop options during our brand session Creative Strategy Discussion. If you still want help before your session, you can certainly send me pics of your clothing pieces and accessories prior to the shoot. Don't worry, I look over all of the clothing and props at the session itself one last time to help you decide what outfits will look the best on you, in each location.

So, to say thank you for your referral, I'll send you a 10% off coupon when your friends book and pay for their session. Just a little something to say ‘Thanks for being so awesome!!’.
-
What size can I print the images? These are high resolution images so you can pretty much go as big or small as you want. I also provide your images in web resolution so they load fast on your website and look amazing on your social sites.
